• Fred Wayne Boling was born on July 18, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1970 with a BS in Economics. He was commissioned into the Air Force in 1970 and trained at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock. He served in Vietnam as a pilot of an AC-119 gunship, flying missions over the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and participated in the battle of An Loc. He was married with two children, and passed away on October 17, 2011.
