• Rodney L. Honeycutt was a sergeant in the Army and served in Vietnam from 1971 to 1972. He was a member of US Army Support Group Vietnam and worked in the ordnance and supply depot at Cam Ranh Bay, earning a Bronze Star for his service. In 1977 he enrolled at Texas Tech University and in 1981 graduated with his Ph.D. in Biology.
