  • John "Jack" Pellek was born on October 16, 1941, in Belleville, New Jersey. He began studying at Texas Tech University in the summer of 1965 and graduated in 1967 with a Masters of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Math. From February of 1967 to March of 1968, he was the construction and base development officer for the 355th Civil Engineering Squadron at Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base. He earned a Bronze Star for his service and was promoted to captain whileoverseas. He eventually retired from the Air Force as a colonel and now resides in San Antonio. He is married to Margaret Kloza Pellek and has eight children, sixteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
